my tailor's drawer
By Astrid • Last updated on 09/03/2026
There’s a Catalan expression called “tailor’s drawer” (calaix de sastre) used to refer to a messy collection of random items.
This page is precisely that, a messy collection of random stuff I have or find interesting.
Links
I do recommend what I put in this section (at least at the time of writing).
Public transit related
- Ferroviària.cat [ca], a PWA that tells you the ETA for rail transit in Catalonia (including Rodalies).
- Trenscat.cat [ca], the website about trains in Catalonia.
- Stations and transfers by Albert Guillaumes, a collection of 3D diagrams of different rapid transit stations around the world, including most European cities.
- Metro intervals [ca] also by Albert Guillaumes, a website listing the intervals between each metro in every big European city.
- RFIG map, an unofficial map by @maparfig (BlueSky) of the Spanish rail network (managed by ADIF).
- Puntual.cat [ca], it lists the average delay for Rodalies trains, so you can plan your trips accordingly.
- Pantallas estaciones [es] by Mario Montes, allows you to use Adif’s API to get the official screens Adif uses in their stations.
- FGC, it’s just plain better than Renfe.
- Promoció del Transport Públic [ca], a transit advocacy group.
Software
- Droidify, a better-looking F-droid client.
- Softcatalà, Catalan non-profit that develops translating tools and a spell-checker (among other things) for the Catalan language.
- VSCodium, your favorite code editor without the corporate junk.
